In loving memory of Karen Ann Thibault (1962 – 2025)
Surrounded by loved ones, Karen passed away peacefully on Monday December 8th, 2025. She was born April 13th, 1962, in Sudbury, Ontario. Predeceased by her parents Eva and Leon Thompson, husband Wayne Thibault and son Matthew Thibault. She is survived by her two sons Korbin and Tarik, and daughter in-law RaeAnne. Karen is also survived by her loving grandchildren Lyric, Soul and Harmony as well as by her furry grandchildren Molly, Bocca, Lola and Rafiki. She was formerly married to David Henri.
Karen will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her aunt Pauline Villeneuve, sister in law Carol Thibault (Norm Chouinard), sister in law Joanne Thibault, stepson Sean Thibault (Denise), stepdaughter Andrea Thibault-Meinen (John), cousin Julie McCutcheon (Rick), cousin Jackie Prieur and many other relatives. Predeceased by her sister in law Diane Ikonen (Ike predeceased) and her stepson Shanon Thibault (Gisele Lamoureux - Thibault).
Karen enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to laugh with her sons. Growing up, she spent a lot of her time at her family camp on Manitoulin Island and held many memories of her time there. She had worked for the Ministry of Natural Resources where she met her husband Wayne and eventually became a stay at home mom raising her three sons. She soaked in all of her time spent with her grandchildren and was so proud of them and who they are becoming as young individuals. She was the mainstream of revenue for Tim Horton’s for many years, so have a large double double in her memory!
Her two sons Korbin and Tarik are both proud to have been her son, raised by her love and wisdom. They plan to carry on her lessons in life and always push through the hard times, and relish in the good ones. Sink or swim, die or live, Those are your only options. We will always keep pushing on.
Mom's declining health prevented her from traveling and seeing more of this beautiful country she called home. We will be taking her wherever we go and spreading her ashes amongst nature. Anything breathtaking and beautiful will be met with some of mom’s ashes, as she was just that.
As requested by Karen, the family will not be holding a funeral or celebration of life.
