In loving memory of “Ken” Kenneth Edward Morrison (54 years old) who passed away on Friday February 14th, 2025. Beloved son of Linda Morrison (nee Lehto) and Doug Morrison (predeceased). Loving brother of Donna (Curtis Hall) and Jeff (Sylvie). He was the proud uncle of Nick and Michael, who in their younger years referred to him as “KoKo Kay” as they could not say Uncle Kenny. That nickname stayed with him all his life. He will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, lifelong friends and coworkers.
Ken, much like his dad, was a talented artist at an early age. He was always willing to take on new projects and learn new skills. From wood carving, to sketching wildlife, and teaching himself how to play guitar, Ken tried it all and he rocked it! Ken’s artistic flair at a young age would eventually transition from pen to paper, to electronic mediums, which steered him to a career in technical publications of a large, local mining equipment manufacturer. His contributions at his workplace will surely be missed. Ken would always extend a helping hand, but if he suspected that you were looking for a quick shortcut, he would immediately tell you to “Google it.” In the words of his good friend and confidante Stan “We could talk about anything without having to explain what we’re saying.” People who knew him will never forget his distinctive chuckle after telling some obscure internet reference. Ken’s humour was sharp, yet subtle. If he used sarcasm to poke fun at you, it would often take a few minutes for the “I just got it! “Moment. Ken, in our opinion, was a Genius! His ability to accurately answer any question on seemingly any topic left people speechless and baffled. Ken surely would have been the best Jeopardy contestant out there! Hands Down! In the words of his nephews “The world has lost a good soul and a significant amount of Brain Power.”
Rest in peace Ken.
