Lenard Holmberg
It is with profound sadness that I announce the sudden passing of my brother Len Holmberg on Tuesday May 20th 2025 in his 69th year. There is so much to say about my brother and he usually does most of the saying, if you know him. Lennie grew up in Sudbury and acquired a large group of close-knit friends. He moved to Alberta but home was always Sudbury and drew him back settling in Lively. Len always enjoyed a good party with family and friends. To say Lennie was unique would be an understatement. He lived by his own rule book which he never wavered from, the stubborn Dutch heritage from his mom Rita. As a career he tried many different jobs but the one closest to his heart was carpentry, which he inherited from his Finn dad Bob. He was very meticulous about any job he did and took great pride in his work. If Lennie did a job for you, you know you'll never need it repaired. His incredible knowledge of the workings of the human body would surpass any Doctor. There is so much more I can say about my brother Len because he was larger than life, one is that you always knew when he was in a room and now Heaven knows it too. I could fill pages of "Lennie" stories but I'll leave those for another time.
Over the years Len helped so many with physical, mental health, personal trauma or just being there when a friend was needed.
Predeceased by parents Rita and Bob Holmberg and Brother Dennis, niece Kira Lumme (Marsh), Nephew Curtis Holmberg.
As per Lennie's wishes there is no funeral or visitation. His remaining siblings Russell Holmberg (Paula), Ernie Holmberg (Glenys), Patsy Fournier (Alex) and Nancy Mazza (Rob) are still in the process of making final details.
Len, you'll be greatly missed by so many.
