Leslie Gilles Dunham (April 21, 1978 - July 23, 2025)

With heavy hearts, we share the sudden passing of Leslie Gilles Dunham on July 23, 2025, at the age of 47.

Born on April 21, 1978, Leslie was raised in Sudbury and most recently lived in Barrie. He was the beloved son of Carmen Dunham (née Bossé) and Wayne Dunham and a cherished brother to Lindsay Dunham (husband Pierre Dubuc, children Keegan and Joshua).

He leaves behind his daughter Caryne (mother Danyka) and two sons Tyler and Jesse (mother Amy). He loved his children deeply and always carried them in his heart. He came from a large and loving family and will also be missed by many uncles, aunts and cousins, too many to name and he loved them all equally. Leslie cherished his family.

An avid outdoorsman, Leslie felt most at home in nature. Whether it was camping, fishing, kayaking, walking or simply enjoying the quiet, the outdoors brought him peace. He took pride in hands-on physical work. Throughout his life, Leslie was known for his quick wit and good sense of humour. He was appreciated for his kindness and willingness to lend a hand. During his youth, Leslie was a talented athlete and excelled at many sports, including Hockey.

In later years, Leslie was a huge fan of country music. He loved to sing along. Leslie would often express his feelings through songs, and he would convey those feelings by sharing videos with his family.

Leslie lived life on his own terms and truly could say: “I did it my way.”

A Celebration of Life will be held in mid September and further details will be provided.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or any other organization that supports the socially disenfranchised would be appreciated.
