Linda Cole
July 14th, 1960 – March 18th, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Linda Roseanne Cole (née Danuk), who passed away at her home in Sudbury, Ontario, on March 18, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on July 14, 1960, Linda was the beloved daughter of the late Rodney “Roddy” Danuk and Delia “Dell” Danuk (née Harmer).
Spouse of Brian Cole. She was a proud and loving mother to Angela Faubert (Leigh), Ryan Cole (Lyndsay), and Zachary Cole (Alandra). She was a cherished grandmother to Tianna (John), Ethan, Amber, Kaidyn, Dominick, and Demira, and a treasured great-grandmother to Crawford, Daria, Isabella, and Franco.
She was a loving sister to Jane Dumont (predeceased) (Dave, predeceased), Donna Labre (Gerry, predeceased), Rhonda Danuk (predeceased), Bruce Danuk (Joanne), Gary Danuk (predeceased), Cindy McDonald (Randy), Kevin Danuk, Carl Danuk, Kim Leroux (Nestor), Danny Danuk (predeceased), Grant Danuk (Steve), Greg Danuk (Jackie, predeceased), and Brian Danuk. Linda will also be fondly remembered as a loving aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Linda was a loving partner to Sylvie Desrosiers, and a longtime companion to Judy Jolin.
To have known her was a treat. Linda was one of a kind An unapologetically raw, full of spunk, and never anything less than herself. She wore her heart on her sleeve and showed her love most through food. She would cook all night if it meant surprising you with your favourite dish. A family gathering wouldn’t be complete without her starting a food fight and playfully bringing everyone together.
Linda loved being out in nature. Her happy place was barefoot by the water, fishing for pickerel, often in her signature sleeveless denim shirt. She proudly spent many years on the baseball field as a pitcher and cherished the community of lifelong friends and memories she made along the way.
Linda had a wild spirit, a strong personality, and a heart that, no matter what, always found its way back to the people she loved.
She leaves behind a lifetime of stories that we’ll be telling for generations, stories so unbelievable, you’d swear they couldn’t all belong to one lifetime.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Sylvie Desrosiers for the love, care, and kindness she showed Linda, especially in her final days.
A celebration of Linda’s life will take place in the summer of 2026, with details to be shared at a later date.
