Lionel Lachance

In loving memory of Lionel Lachance who peacefully passed away at Health Sciences North on Tuesday, September 6th, 2022, at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Marguerite Lachance (Leblanc) for over 63 years. Dear son of the late Lorenzo Lachance and the late Léonie Lachance (Shank). Loving father of Denise, Ronald and Daniel (Carole). He had a very special place in his heart for his grandchildren Danika, Alex, Chloe and Jason. He was respected and loved by so many being a true friend and a generous soul. Survived by his brother Raymond (Gisèle), predeceased by brothers Léo, Rhéal (late Colleen), Lucien (late Vivian) and Gilles. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his aunt Rita. He will be missed by his close friend Ron Fraser. Lionel proudly retired from Falconbridge at the age of 62. He was known for his hard work, dedication, and sense of humour.  His passion for woodworking and being able to turn a rough piece of wood and craft each piece into something he was proud to show, was remarkable. In loving memory, many family members have a handcrafted grandfather clock made by Lionel to cherish in their homes. As per his wishes, there will be no service or visitation. Cremation services are provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury.
