Lafond, Luc  1981-2021

The family announces with sorrow his death on December 15, 2021, at the age of 40 years. Loving son of Pierre and Berthe (née Girouard) Lafond. Dear brother of Ginette Auger (Denis) and Julie Findlay (Jeff). Cherished uncle of André, Gavin, Tyler, and Miguel. Luc will be sadly missed by his grandmother Rita Lafond (née Beauparlant) (late Georges) Lafond and the late Lionel and the late Murielle (née Rivest) Girouard.

Luc was an avid outdoorsman, he loved nature and fishing was his favorite pastime. He would proudly boast of his latest catch and you could easily see how he loved being on the water. Work, in the field of geoscience, took Luc all over the world. He would take us on his journeys through amazing photos and video calls. Luc was a proud uncle to his four nephews and would always bring back to them treasures from his many destinations. His kind heart and sense of humour will be forever treasured in the hearts of those closest to him. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all those who knew him.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury. Donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association of Sudbury or the  Northern Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
