De Cata, Lucrezia (née Del Mastro) 1930 – 2021
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces her death in Sudbury on Friday, August 6, 2021, at the age of 90 years. Lucrezia was born in Carpino, Foggia, Italy. Daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine (née Macarone) Del Mastro. She is reunited with her beloved husband Rocco who predeceased her just four short days prior. Loving mother of Tony (Sherri), Nancy Masse (David), Pat (Lucie), Josee Larocque (Frank), Mary Bouchard (Darrren), Michael (Ariel) and Lucy De Cata. Predeceased by her siblings Angelo, Antonio, Vincenzio and Filamina (late Antonio Patrecza). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his grandson Jeffrey Gauthier. Lucrezia was well know by many as a custodian at Cambrian College.
Lucrezia loved being with her family and always provided a beautiful celebration with her fabulous cooking. Grandkids travelled from afar just to have Nona’s soup. In Nona’s words "take some more take some more!"
