It is with profound sadness that the family of Marcel announces his sudden passing on April 18 at the age of 62, in Westree, ON.
Son of the late Jean Mantha and Georgette (née Tétreault) Mantha. Marcel is survived by his children, Richard, Jacklyn (Ryan), and Michel (Cassandra). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, D'Mitri, Jannelle, Gage, Nash and Bébé Mantha. Dear brother to Ghislaine (Laurent), Ronald (Hélène), Francine (Paul). He will also be missed dearly by his nieces and nephews and his long-time friends in the Valley and Westree.
He will forever be remembered by those who knew him for his incredible memory, the pride in his workmanship, his stubbornness, his "you better fall asleep before he does" snoring and for always helping others. He loved fishing and hunting. He was thrilled to get a moose tag last year, and in fact, getting his 2nd moose ever- such an incredible moment for him. His smile and laughter will live on in our hearts and memories.
A Celebrations of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at the Carrefour Sen. Rheal Belisle, 2777 Main Street in Blezard Valley from 6-9 p.m. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Sudbury Alzheimer Society. Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury.
