Renaud, Marcel (1957–2025)

On Monday, October 27, 2025, at the age of 68. Marcel passed away suddenly in the City of Greater Sudbury, He was the beloved son of the late Fernand and Thérèse (née Lavergne) Renaud, stepson of the late Laura Arcand Renaud. He leaves behind his two beloved daughters, Lynne (Gilles Dequanne) and Melissa (Mike Richard), along with his two cherished grandsons, Cohen and Mayson, who brought immeasurable joy to his life.

Marcel will be deeply missed by his siblings Estelle (Roger) Brassard, Patrick (Hazel), Denis, Laurent (Suzanne), Lise Jeanveau (Ray), Normand (Monique), Diane (Reynold) Coolman, Pauline (Donald) Noel, Rhéal a.k.a. Ray (Nicole), Irène, and Yvon, extended family, Suzanne (Charlie) , late Richard, Marie, George (Jean) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Marcel was a hard-working man, renowned for his generosity, resourcefulness, and dedication. He had a remarkable talent for fixing anything, and his passion for old vehicles, CBs, and electronics. 

Above all, family was his most cherished treasure. Being called “Papa” was one of his greatest honors, and he often said, “Heaven must be a great place because they have my parents.” His love for his family and his unwavering spirit will always be remembered.

Marcel’s legacy of kindness, strength, and love will live on in all who knew him.

The circumstances surrounding his passing have been difficult for our family. We are deeply grateful to everyone including the Ontario Provincial Police, the Greater Sudbury Police and Paramedic Services for their efforts and compassion during the search.

Rest in peace, my dear brother Marcel. You will forever be missed and remembered with love.
