PRIOR, Margaret (February 14, 1944 - November 28, 2025)
With the heaviest of hearts, we share the passing of Margaret Rose Prior (née Musico) on November 28, 2025, at the age of 81 years.
Beloved and cherished wife and “Spooky” to her devoted and loving husband, Gary. They most recently celebrated 59 years of marriage that was the true definition and example of unwavering love, devotion, commitment, and laughter, even in the most challenging times.
All Margaret ever wanted was to have children, a boy and a girl, and always talked about how blessed she was that it came to be. She was the brightest light and example of the deepest love to her son Gordie (Ania) and her daughter Cathy (James).
She will forever be cherished and remembered for being the most special and loving Nana to her grandchildren, Shayna (JP), Talyn, Ronan, and Matthew. She was truly blessed to be a great Nana to Ruby.
Beloved eldest daughter of Frank and Margaret (both predeceased). Margaret was the matriarch of our family. To her brothers and sisters she was a deep force of guidance and love. She will be forever missed by Frank Jr. (Marnie), Jack (Terry), Linda (John), Brenda (Andy), Greg (Kath), and Myrna (Dale). She was predeceased by her identical twin sister Mary-Anne, who she is finally reunited with.
She was a special aunt to many nieces and nephews who she loved so much and who held a special place in her heart.
Margaret had many close and lifelong friends that truly became like family to her and Gary. They both cherished many endless memories of wonderful times filled with laughter.
Margaret came into this world and survived the odds. She lived her life with a strength and resilience that was unmatched and an inspiration to all that knew and loved her. When she was faced with difficult health challenges, she demonstrated and taught us all what it meant to live and love fiercely in the face of adversity, not allowing those challenges to define her. No matter what, she could always see the positive, and her perspective on life is what defined her.
Her loving husband, Gary, her children, grandchildren, family, and friends were all that mattered the most to Margaret, and she poured herself into every relationship making each person feel seen, incredibly loved and special. She was and always will be a radiant presence in our lives. She taught us the true meaning of strength, resilience, kindness, humour, faith, hope, grace, compassion, gratitude, and most of all love. She will be remembered as the definition of all of these things and for the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.
She is love personified. She is the best of all of us. Let her love and what she meant to you, carry you onwards.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date where family and friends will gather to honour her memory, share stories, and reflect on the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
