Tomisch, Margit (née Baldauf) 1954-2022
The world lost a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend on April 1, 2022. Margit Tomisch passed away peacefully with her husband Roland by her side after a short battle with cancer. Margit was born in Eberbach, Germany on July 18, 1954, to Willi and Maria Baldauf (both predeceased). Margit first met Roland when he had returned to Germany for a visit. Shortly after that, she came to Canada to visit Roland in Toronto on July 1, 1977, for what she thought would be short trip. They were married a few months later on October 13, 1977. After the birth of their son, Sascha (Kate) they left the big city and moved to Skead, Ontario for a simpler life. Here they welcomed two more children, Tanya (predeceased) and Emily (Ivan).
Margit was an avid gardener and would always have fresh flowers throughout her home. She also loved to bake, black forest cake being her specialty.
Along with her children, Sascha and Emily, as well as her husband Roland, she is survived by her siblings Gertrud (Karl-Heinz), Gerhard (Ute), Karin (Gerhard) and Eveline, and also as her nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Cano, Dr. DeBlacam and all the nurses on 4th Floor North and 7th Floor North at Health Sciences North. As per her wishes, there will be no service. We hope whenever you see a sunflower or ladybug that you remember her as she was, so full of love and laughter. Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury.
