Obituary for Marguerite Mallette (née Lavergne) Age 85 • Passed Away December 3, 2025 • at HSN
It is with profound sadness that the family of Marguerite Mallette (née Lavergne) announces her passing at Health Sciences North on December 3, 2025, at the age of 85 years. A longtime resident of MacFarlane Lake, Marguerite was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and quiet strength touched everyone she knew. Marguerite was the beloved wife of the late Roger Mallette. She was a devoted mother, predeceased by her son Denis, and is lovingly remembered by Carole, Joe (Tammy), and Louise (Steve). Born to the late Wilfrid and Florence Lavergne, Marguerite was predeceased by her siblings Julienne, Émilienne, Pierette, Jacqueline, and Denis. She leaves behind her dear sisters Jeannine and Huguette, who will forever hold her memory close.
Marguerite was the proud grandmother of Lianne, Mireille, André, Corey, Robert, Mathieu, Eric, Brodie, and Riley, as well as many great-grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She is also fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit and the simple pleasures she cherished—sipping tea, knitting, painting, and spending afternoons playing cards in her gazebo. These moments of peace and creativity reflected the grace and kindness she carried throughout her life.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to all who have offered support, prayers, and condolences during this difficult time.
May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
