Kulos, Marie-Paule (née Leroux) January 31st, 1941-August 12, 2025 (84)
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces her passing in Sudbury on Tuesday, August 12th after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Daughter of the late Victor and Laurette (Belanger) Leroux. Predeceased by her siblings Marie-Claire Simard, Jean-Gilles Leroux (Marcelle) and Michel Leroux.
Dear wife of the late William *Billy* Kulos (2002). Loving mother of Lynne Holder (Paul predeceased 2023) and Robert Kulos (Cathy). Cherished and very proud mémére to Lyndsey Holder, Corey Holder and Dharma Kulos.
Mom enjoyed a 30 year career with HSN working at different sites and different departments. She made a lot of friends and acquaintances everywhere she went. She proudly won the honour of naming the HSN cafeteria The Rock Garden Cafe.
Mom resided at Rockview Towers for 25 years and made some dear friends. She moved to Sudbury Retirement Manor on July 2, 2024. She was proud to have moved to a first class independent environment with all the comforts of home. Staff and residents became her extended family.
Mom had the gift of the gab, referring to herself as a chatterbox. Wherever she travelled (Cuba being her paradise), wherever she shopped, wherever she went, she loved meeting people, listening to their stories and forging memorable bonds.
Special thanks to all the doctors, nurses, PSWs, physiotherapists, porters and housekeepers in Overflow South, ACU, ARCC, and Maison McCulloch Hospice who showed care and compassion. You know who you are and keep doing what you do.
In keeping with mom’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. A private family service graveside will be held at a later date. In her memory, think of her the next time you visit somewhere hot and know she's smiling down. In lieu of flowers, please give generously to the Hospice which she described as a place to die with respect, love and dignity. https://maisonsudburyhospice.org/donate/
The two hardest things to say in life are hello for the first time and goodbye for the last.
