Mark “Ted” Edwin Tinkis (1942 – 2026)
It is with great sorrow that the family of Mark “Ted” Edwin Tinkis announces his passing in Sudbury, Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the age of 83 years. Son of the late Mark Tinkis and the late Dorothy Tinkis (née Dale). Beloved partner of Evelyn Fratin. Loving father of David. Predeceased by his son Mark and his daughter Deborah. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Katelyn, William and Kristina as well as by his great grandchildren Rowan and Denver. Survived by his sister Betty Lou Miller and his brother Dale Tinkis (Gloria). Also survived by his extended family Anna, Neri, Sonia and Jane, Joseph (Paige) and baby Grace. He will be missed by his fur-baby, Charlie.
Ted worked for 37 years with Inco. He was a man who never hesitated to lend a hand. He was a social butterfly, and he would talk to everybody.
He liked playing pranks on his co-workers and they would always get him back.
Ted started playing hockey in his teens and continued into his 70s. He also enjoyed going to the gym. He started in his 20s and continued until he was 82.
A private celebration of life was held.
