The family announces with great sadness Mary’s death after a lengthy and courageous battle with her health, Tuesday March 10, 2020. Beloved wife of Brian Horner (52 years). Cherished mother and amazing best friend to her daughter Janet Jewitt (Dave). Predeceased by her loving son Colin (2015). Wonderful grandmother of Ashley, Scott, Ben and Beth as well as a great grandmother of three. She will be sadly missed by her brothers David (Ruth) and Bill as well as by her loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, her dear friends and by the figure skating community. Predeceased by her sister Ann. Mary was known for her passion for life, her role as family cook, as a seamstress, a knitter and for the love of her beloved cats. A celebration of life to remember happier times will be held at her daughter’s residence on April 3rd 2020 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Donations to Pet Save would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements in care of Simple Wishes of the North Sudbury.
