Mary-Lou Kinnunen (née MacDougall)
October 2, 1939 – September 23, 2020
In loving memory of Mary-Lou Kinnunen who passed away in Sudbury Wednesday September 23, 2020 at the age of 80 years. Loving wife of the late Arvo Kinnunen. Daughter of the late Frank and Edna MacDougall (née Zettler). Dear sister of the late Jane Gough (Peter), Marlene Kenttala (late Fred) John and Alita MacDougall. Caring aunt and nanny to many nieces and nephews. Mary-Lou worked in the banking industry in Sudbury for over 30 years. She was an avid curler and golfer. After meeting Arvo, she enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with him. Mary-Lou was a life-long parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and then of Our Lady of Hope parishes. Interment took place on Thursday September 25 at the Civic Cemetery of Sudbury. Mass and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Thank you to the staff at Pioneer Manor, Father Larry Rhymes, Collin Bourgeois and staff at Simple Wishes. A very special thanks to her friend and caregiver Brenda Zemoroz who comforted Mary-Lou in her last years. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society in memory of Mary-Lou.
