Maurice “Moe” Henry
May 12, 1944 – May 28, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Maurice “Moe” Henry on the morning of May 28, 2026, at the age of 82, following a courageous battle with lung disease. He spent his final moments at the Maison McCulloch Hospice, surrounded by comfort and care.
Moe was the cherished husband of Lorraine (nee Kingsley) and the loving father of Neil and Lori (Jason).
He was the only son of the late Denis and Germaine (nee Parisien) Henry. Moe was predeceased by his sister, Laurie Furoy (Raymond, deceased), and leaves behind his loving sisters, Jeanne Charbonneau (Oliver, deceased), Lucille Henry (Guy, deceased), and Rita Orasi (Ron, deceased).
He was the dear brother-in-law of Gerry Kingsley (Lucille, both deceased), Theresa Caine (Gordon, both deceased), Jacqueline McMahon (Gerry, both deceased), Germaine Winch McNamara (Alex, deceased), Georgette Fleming (Leo, both deceased), Marcel Kingsley (Gail, both deceased), Rheal Kingsley, Helen Treitz (Albert, deceased), Claudette O’Reilly (Dan) and Philip Kingsley (Lucie).
Moe was a true character—a kind man with a great sense of humour who could strike up a conversation with anyone. He had an avid love for puttering, tending to his garden, following hockey and baseball, and enjoying his wife Lorraine’s baking. His dedicated 35-year professional career was spent as a proud journeyman and commercial electrician with the IBEW.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Moe’s memory to the Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury.
