Miriam Laframboise

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Miriam Laframboise announces her sudden passing on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at the age of 82.

Loving wife of the late Don Laframboise and was a loving mother to Keith (Sandi) and Mark (Laurie). Cherished sister to Jack Basto, Helen Koski (predeceased) and Cynthia Gideon (predeceased). Also predeceased by her parents Sylvie and Eero Basto.

Miriam will also be greatly missed by all sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Her pride and joy were her family. Miriam was beloved Mummu to grandchildren Brendon (Katie), Dana (Joel), Laura (Jim), Amy (Ben), Alysha (Clayton), Sage, Erik and great grandchildren Jaxton and Marley, all of whom were the light of her life and all having wonderful memories.

Miriam and Don married on November 3, 1962, and were lifelong residents of Waters Township building their family home in 1972 on a 3-acre portion of the Basto family farm.

Their lives were filled with countless family gatherings, love, laughter, travel, many adventures and spending time at their camp on Fairbank Lake since 1965.

Miriam was literally surrounded on both sides of her house by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her legacy of love will live on forever in everyone she touched.

Miriam lived her life as the definition of Sisu.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the Michael Vagnini Community Hall above the Walden Arena with drop-in time between 1 pm - 4 pm.

Donations in Miriam’s honor can be made to any Health Care Charity of your choice.
