Mona St Jean (née Pitre)
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mona St Jean announce her passing on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, in Sudbury, at the age of 80 years. Daughter of the late Lionel Pitre and of the late Marie-Anne Pitre (née Lanthier). Loving wife of Ronald St Jean for over 59 years. Dear mother of Marc and Denis (Angèle). She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandson Dylan. Mona is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Colette Philion (late Roland).
Mona was a tremendous mother, wife, grandmother and friend. We will love her forever. In our heart, no one is better.
Mona was a go getter and achiever. She was a very hard working person and accomplished all she set her mind to. Above all, her grandson Dylan was the light and love of her life. After a well deserved retirement in 2006, Mona enjoyed spending time on the French River and many winters in Florida. We will miss her deeply yet we are grateful for the years and memories that remain.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Pioneer Manor, Trillium Wing, for the exceptional care and compassion for Mona and her family.
Donation in Mona’s memory can be made to the Sudbury Manitoulin Alzheimer Society http://www. Alzheimer.ca/sudburymanitoulin/donation
