Laurin, Monique Rose  Dec 31, 1959 – August 7, 2020

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the death of Monique Rose Laurin. Monique (Nick, Nikki) passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of August 7 at HSN after her long battle with cancer. Monique was 60 years old and will be greatly missed by many. Dear daughter of the late Yoland and the late Huguette Laurin. Dear sister to the late Helene Mayer (Louis), Jocelyne Shean (late Richard), Mike Laurin (Rose), Yvon Laurin (Cindy), late Jeannette Bertrand and Colette Dumont (Ron). Best aunt to all her nieces and nephews, Gilles (Don), Julie, Chantal (Dax), Chris (Amanda), Kayla (Chris) Angele (Kevin), Paul (Lisa-Marie), Foster, Jessica, Michelle, Mark, Devan (Bradyn), Dustin (Elizabeth) and Marissa (Shane). Greatly missed by her best friend Jude. Special aunt to her great-nieces and nephews Madison, Daxton, Quinn, Emmett, Ella, Lincoln, Ameha and many more. To her special buddy Austin, she will miss you sunshine! Remembered by her many cousins, aunts and uncles.  She was loved by so many it’s hard to list them all. The family wishes to thank the nurses at HSN, especially Murphy and Abigail for the excellent care and compassion shown to Monique and her family during this difficult period and amid a pandemic. There will be a Celebration of Life and details will be shared with friends and family once arranged. Memorial contributions in Monique’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of Sudbury or the YMCA Genevra House in Sudbury.
