Whitman, Monique (née Lamothe) 1952-2021
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces Monique Whitman’s passing at HSN in Sudbury on December 22nd, 2021, at the age of 69 years. Loving wife of the late George R. Whitman; daughter of the late Ronald Lamothe and the late Marguerite Lamothe (nee Gravelle); sister to Gilles Lamothe and Robert Lamothe (predeceased).
Monique was well known for her energy, generosity, and spunk. She will be remembered as a loyal friend, a loving mother and for how much she adored her grandchildren. Most recently, she spent her time socializing at camp on Manitoulin Island, helping family and quilting with friends. The family takes comfort in knowing her passing was peaceful and that she may now join her husband whom she missed greatly.
There will be a celebration of life organized in Sudbury with the date yet to be determined due to pandemic constraints. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury.
