Florence Nevaida Howe (nee Dauncey)
It is with profound sadness that the family of Nevaida Howe announce that she passed away on Thursday, 23 October 2025, after a period of increasingly deteriorating health.
Born in Star City, Saskatchewan, Nevaida lived a life of adventure and creativity. A competitive athlete early in life and lifelong curler, Nevaida was also a skilled musician with a beautiful singing voice. Her creative talents were evident in her works of art, home decoration and fashion design.
Whether boating, camping or participating in music jams and gatherings, Nevaida made and kept friends everywhere. She was tireless with an endless amount of energy that led her to take leadership roles in many community groups and in social events. There was nothing she could not put her mind or hand to if she chose.
Her loss will be heavily felt by her beloved husband Jim Howe, and her children Wayne (Linda), Gail (Dan), Kevin (Jennifer), Jim Jr. (Jasmine), Brian (Amy) and Glenn (Jenny). She is also survived by her grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and her dogs, Bonnie and Cindy.
Beautiful inside and out, Nevaida shone brightly and we consider ourselves gifted to have had her in our lives.
A celebration of her life will be held at a future date in 2026.
