Patricia “Pat” Helen Dionne

July 18th, 1945 – February 8th, 2026

With profound sadness our family announces the passing of our deeply loved wife, mother, and gramma, Patricia Dionne (née Walchuk), on February 8th, 2026. A lifelong resident of Sudbury, Patricia passed away peacefully at Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury, in her 81st year, with her loving family by her side.

Patricia was born on July 18th, 1945, in Sudbury to parents Ella (Pagé) and Walter Walchuk. She was the cherished youngest sister of Betty LaBillois, Edie Somerton, and Ernie Walchuk, all predeceased.

Lovingly remembered by her devoted and amazing husband of 60 years, Gerald (Gerry), their children Lynn (Anne), Cheryl (Greg) McCulligh, and Steven (Francine), their grandchildren Andrea (Liam), Allison (Jessy), Adam, Aiden, Ella, Carson, Zander, Isabelle, and Autumn, and great grandson Benjamin. She will be deeply missed by her cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, her best friend Ivanka Rupnik, as well as her coffee friends.

Patricia was a loving, generous, kind, and deeply caring woman who found great joy spending time with her family and friends and serving her community. She was a devout Catholic who was very active in her church. She will be greatly missed by the St Andrew The Apostle church community. She exemplified dignity, integrity, honesty, compassion, and love to all she met, and in all she did.

Our family extends our warmest gratitude to the nurses on the 4 th floor north tower at Health Sciences North, her team at the Northeast Cancer Centre, and the staff at the Maison McCulloch hospice.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated. In true Pat fashion, before passing she reminded us to regularly purchase 50:50 tickets to support the hospice.

The funeral service for Patricia will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Andrew The Apostle Parish, 1250 Barrydowne Road, Sudbury ON. The service will be live streamed for those who cannot attend in person. The family welcomes everyone to join them in the church basement for a reception immediately following the service.

Cremation services are provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury, and Crystal Crematorium.
