Tobin, Patricia Ann (1952 – 2025)

In loving memory of Patricia Ann Tobin who passed away at Health Sciences North on July 26, 2025 at the age of 73. She is predeceased by her parents Charles and Sherry Tobin. She is survived by her life partner of 37 years Pat Christopher (Chris} and her loving cousin Robert Condratto (Bob).

Born in Sudbury, Ontario, Pat's life was a testament to the power of love and devotion to others during her long career in the field of social work. Over the years she worked at the Children's Aid Society in Sudbury, Community Counselling Centre in North Bay, Laurentian University in Sudbury and in private practice until she retired. In her spare time she busied herself with political activism including union work, advocating for LGBTQ2+ rights and volunteering with many different women's organizations. In 2002 Pat's devotion to working on social' justice issues was recognized with the awarding of the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal. The impact she had will live on in the hearts of all those who knew her.

When Pat wasn't working, she enjoyed dancing, cooking and gardening. She was a devoted dog lover who over so many years cherished her long walks with our loyal Bouvier companions. Although unable to go for walks with four-year-old Sophia, she relished the daily hugs and many kisses Sophia provided.

A special thank you is extended to the staff on the 5th floor South at HSN and Dr. Natalie Goodale for your compassionate care and support during her final journey.

Pat's Celebration of Life will be held at La Fromagerie, 80 Elgin Street Sudbury, on September 6, 2025 from noon to 3 pm.

Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury and Crystal Crematorium.
