Patrick Arthurs

In loving memory of Patrick Arthurs who passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024 in his 90th year at Health Sciences North. Pat came to Dowling from Orillia in the 1950’s where he built his home and raised his family.  After some years at INCO he became Fire Chief in Dowling and later Onaping Falls until his retirement. Pat also served his community as a member of the Dowling Athletic Association helping to finance groups involved in children’s activities in our community. Pat enjoyed boating, fishing and many weekends on Onaping Lake. Pat's demeanor and great sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

Pat was a husband to Anne (predeceased) for 50 years and then to Catherine (predeceased) for 18 years. Loving father of Brenda Torgenson (Jack), Molly Prociuk (Jemy), Cathy Arthurs (predeceased) and son Jim Arthurs (predeceased). He was stepfather to Michael Keir, Mary King, Patrick Keir, Christopher Keir and Patricia Scherer. Grandfather of Miranda, Jake, Jasmin and Amber (predeceased). Also survived by his 3 great grandchildren.

Special thanks to Jeanie and Bill Card who were always there to help Pat in many ways. A special thanks to Jim & Elanie Spicer. Pat could always depend on Jim to help him with his computer problems. A thank you to his PSW’s that came to his home every day and the kind nursing staff and doctors who cared for him these past weeks.

As per Pats wishes there will be no funeral service.
