Portelance, Paul (1951 – 2025)

It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Paul Portelance announces his passing in Sudbury, Saturday September 13, 2025, at the age of 74 years. Son of the late Germain Portelance and the late Laurette Portelance (née Quesnel). Loving husband to Lise Portelance (née Lécuyer) and devoted father to Stephen (Jillian) and Jason.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Wesley (Kayla), Isabelle (Ryan), Timothy (Tasha), Kassidy (Jamie) and Trinity (Cody).  Dear brother of Andrée-Anne (Joffre), Nick (Mary-Lou), Jocelyne (Réjean), Wilfrid and the late Rhéal.   Survived by his mother-in-law Thérèse Lécuyer (late Bert) and his in-laws, Denise (Norm), Raymond (Lise), Yvan (Lorraine), and Micheline (Rene) as well as nieces and nephews.

His caring nature and willingness to serve touched many lives and will be remembered for his compassion and his sense of humour. Paul was a dedicated volunteer at HSN and gave his time and talents helping friends and neighbours.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 4th at Club Accueil Age d'Or, Azilda.

The family would like to thank the staff at HSN 4th floor North, Maison McCulloch Hospice and Dr. Singh from the Cancer Center for their excellent care.

The family asks that you honor his memory by spending time with your loved ones and making family your priority.
