In loving memory of Pauline Jameus
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Pauline Jameus on May 22, 2025, at the age of 84. Pauline was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose warmth, strength, and enduring love touched the lives of many.
Born on December 7, 1940, Pauline lived a full and devoted life. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Delmar Jameus, her cherished son Daniel Jameus and grandson Jason. Though their absence was deeply felt, Pauline’s resilience and grace carried her through, and she remained a pillar of strength for her family.
She is lovingly remembered by her son Mitch Jameus (Vicky Jameus), and her daughters Yolande Jameus (Carlos Villagra) and Nicole Jameus (Al Conlon), who continue to honor her legacy of kindness, compassion, and perseverance.
Pauline was a proud grandmother to Jamie, Mike, Andre, Eric, Kory, Trevor, Isabel, Isaac, Giovanni, Carlos, Jessica and Justin. Her great-grandchildren—Shyanne, Erika, Nolan, Lydia, Silas, Maritza, Dylan, Monikah and Kameron brought immense joy to her life, and she cherished each and every one of them.
Pauline and her husband Delmar enjoyed travelling together during his retirement years, making memories on the road and cherishing their time together. One of their great joys was attending their son’s hockey games, cheering from the stands with pride and passion. Hockey remained a cherished tradition in the Jameus household—while her children were growing up, it was well known that on Saturday nights, there was only one channel on the TV: the hockey channel. That tradition continued even after Delmar’s passing, a lasting tribute to their shared love of the game.
She also found great happiness in spending time at camp and taking road trips to Elliot Lake, where she enjoyed the peace of nature and the company of family.
Pauline’s life was a testament to love, dedication, and family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
In keeping with her wishes, a private family service will be held on Wednesday May 28th, 2025 in Elliot Lake as she is laid to rest with her husband.
Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury and Crystal Crematorium.
