It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Dad, René (Ding Ding) Lepage. He passed away peacefully at Red Oaks retirement home Sudbury on October 26, 2019, just shy of his 88th birthday. His heart finally gave out, but he will remain in our hearts forever!
Devoted husband of Simone (Bergeron) of 64 years. Amazing Dad to Rocky (Carole), Lise (Jim), Michel (Marj), and Julie (Gary). Fun-loving grand-père to Chantal, Nicholas (Danielle), Justin, Luc and Kevin. He loved spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his brother Aimé, and many nieces and nephews.
He worked at Falconbridge for 36 years until his retirement. He loved to fish, hunt and spend time in his vegetable garden. He was a volunteer fireman, was the iceman and hockey coach at East End playground and president of the Sudbury Minor Hockey. In his younger years, he was avid athlete. He excelled in boxing, hockey, baseball and bowling. He loved watching sports on his big screen tv, never missing a boxing match. And we all know how much he loved to watch and talk about his beloved Montreal Canadians!
Special thanks to Victoria and Angèle from Bayshore and all the amazing staff at Red Oaks for their diligent care of our Dad.
Please join us for a celebration of life at Sainte-Anne-des-Pins on Friday November 15, 2019 at 10:30am. Light refreshments will be served after mass.
