PERREAULT, Richard (1957-2025)
It is with great sadness that the family of Richard Perreault announce his passing in Sudbury, Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the age of 67 years. Son of the late Denis Perreault and the late Thérese Perreault (née Vachon). Dear husband of Angela Perreault (née Preuss). Loving father of Nathalie Perreault (Dan), Christopher Preuss (Fabiola) and Diana Coulombe. Richard will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his eleven grandchildren Amélie, Alexie, Gabby, Noah, Olivia, Matthew, Michael, Daniel, Luke, Javier and Clariza. Cherished brother of Pauline Turcot (Yvon), Roger (Giséle), late Raymond, Marc (Donna), Donald (Carole) and Linda Edmunds (Jeff).
Rick dedicated 46 years of his life to working at Walmart, where he formed countless friendships that became like family. His welcoming and outgoing personality, combined with his warm heart, made an unforgettable impression on everyone he met. Rick’s infectious laugh and spirited nature could light up any room, and his selflessness knew no bounds—he was always willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
Rick will be remembered as a devoted husband and father, and his grandchildren will forever cherish his playful spirit. His family and friends will remember him as the life of the party, always bringing joy and laughter to every gathering. The family is deeply grateful for the unwavering love and support from his caring neighbors and friends, who dedicated their time and energy over the last few years.
Rick’s love for beer, Johnny Cash, the Montreal Canadiens, and the endless renovations to his home (lol) will live on in the memories of those who knew him best. We find comfort in knowing that Rick is now reunited with his best friend, Denis, who we are sure is waiting with a cold beer in hand.
The family would also like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the compassionate staff on 7 North at Health Sciences North for their care and support during this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated.
A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury and Crystal Crematorium.
