Richard “Rick” Wilfred Guénette (1952 – 2025)

It is with great sadness that the family of Richard “Rick” Wilfred Guénette announces his passing in Sudbury, Thursday December 25, 2025, at the age of 73 years. Son of the late Roger Guénette and the late Elizabeth “Betty” Guénette (née Chartrand). Beloved husband of Laura Guénette (VanExan). Loving father of Marc (Lynne), Carole (Pascal) and Gary. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Joël (Kirsti), Erika, Emma, Kariane (Joshua), Hugo and Sara as well as his great grandchildren Mila and Maxim. Survived by his siblings Denise (Ed), Robert (Carole), Michel and Lynne (Mike). Predeceased by his sister Diane (late Hughie).

Rick was a friend to everyone he met, embracing people and animals alike with warmth and kindness. He approached life with enthusiasm, savoring every moment and experience. Rick’s passion for cars fueled a fulfilling career in sales, where he thrived on every new challenge. Beyond his professional life, he found joy in the outdoors – hunting and fishing – and later discovered a deep appreciation for the art of stained glass. He was loved by many and considered a great friend by those he met. He is and will be sadly missed.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday January 3, 2026, at the Falconbridge Legion, 66 Edison Road, Falconbridge from 2:00pm to 7:00pm.
