Robert “Bob” Keskinen
January 10, 1945 – December 26, 2020
Robert passed away suddenly on December 26, 2020 at the age of 75. He was the youngest son of the Late Samuli Keskinen and the late Bertha Keskinen (Nee Kilbar). Robert was previously married to the late Anita Edith Zwygart and they had two lovely daughters, Kimberly, and Karina, both of whom are now living in Vancouver, British Columbia. Robert will be missed by his Brother Arnold Keskinen (Penny) and is predeceased by his brother, Arvo (Phyllis), and sister Aili (Julius Ranta).
After apprenticing with Mr. Zwygart, Robert built his first home and workshop. It wasn't long until there was a huge demand for his excellent carpentry work. Robert was happiest while he was designing and building kitchen cabinets for his many friends, relatives, and regular customers. In his later years he enjoyed spending time at the Whitewater Lake camp, where he could relax and catch up on his reading and be close to nature, watching and feeding the many birds and animals that frequented the area. Whenever things went slightly off track and people tried to help, Robert would always say, "Now don't get excited, just stay calm and don't worry about me". Robert was a very kind and good-hearted person who always wanted to help those in need. He will be sadly missed by all his many friends and relatives; especially, Helvi Thurston and Al Keller who were always there to help if needed. As per Robert's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Cremation Services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to a charity of your choice.
