Robert “Bobcat” Nadeau
October 28th, 1951 – April 19th, 2026
It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Robert “Bobcat” Nadeau, on April 19th, 2026, at the age of 74, at the Health Sciences North hospital in Sudbury.
He is survived by his spouse of 49 years, Ginette Lévesque Nadeau, his sons: Bobby (Danielle) of Gilbert Arizona and Martin (Jennifer) of Timmins. He was a proud Papie to McKenna, Milan, Faolán and Megan.
He is also survived by his brother Yvon (Micheline) and his sisters, Denise, Hélène (late Vianney), Louise (Kenn), brother-in law Daniel (Renée) and sister-in-law Lise (Ronald), many nieces and nephews and many friends.
Pre-deceased by his parents, Adrien and Alice Nadeau, d’Evain, Québec and in-laws Emile Lévesque and Yvette Dubé of Rouyn-Noranda, Québec.
His life reflected the love he had for Ginette, Bobby and Martin. He was proud of his family. He was a devoted father. No matter how big the milestone, he was always standing in the front row cheering on his sons. Papie’s greatest pride and joy was his grandson, Milan. The two were inseparable, spending time playing games together. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his grandson, and the bond they shared was truly extraordinary.
He worked as a welder at the Timmins Kidd Met Site. The quality of his work reflected his personality.
As a young retiree, Bobcat had the chance to work at the Hollinger Golf Club. The golf community had become his second big family. His presence on the course was pure sunshine; he made everyone smile just by being there
He loved to play golf with his sons Bobby and Martin as well as his brother Yvon, brother-in-law Kenn and nephew Chris. Also, his passion of pickleball reflected the same fun and friendships.
Robert was a small man with a big heart. Wherever he went, he left a trail behind. He stopped everything to help others. He left a lasting impression on many people with his gestures and words, and we will never forget him.
At his request, there will be no service.
Cremation services are provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury, and Crystal Crematorium.
