Robert Pearson
October 30, 1962 - April 8th, 2026
It is with profound sadness and immense heartbreak that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Stuart Pearson on April 8th, 2026, at the age of 63, surrounded by the ones who loved him most.
Rob thoroughly enjoyed his work in construction, from operating heavy equipment and hauling in the dump trucks, earning him the respect and admiration of his employers, colleagues, and customers.
Rob loved to talk to people. He was one who would hold up traffic and could be careless about it, just to finish telling his story if he met you somewhere along the road. Known for his light-hearted teasing and his sarcasm, bringing laughter and smiles to most conversations.
Rob loved hockey. Watching it, playing it, teaching it. If it involved ice and skates, he knew all about it. He started his hockey career at a very young age and grew to love the sport: and he was great at it! He played house league on Manitoulin growing up, before joining the OHL in Orillia and Wawa in the late 70’s early 80’s. Afterwards, he played nearly every sportsman tournament Manitoulin had to offer.
Rob is survived by his partner Diane (Rehel), daughter Jennifer and son Stuart, sister Calanne, granddaughter Hailey; as well as nieces Tammy and Tanya, and nephew Tom. Rob was also a wonderful stepfather to Danika, and grandfather to Dakota. He will be greatly missed by many great friends, family, and co-workers.
Even though Rob left us too soon, his kind spirit, laughter, and love will live on in our hearts forever.
