In Loving Memory of Robert Richer

February 4, 1960 – April 12, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Richer, a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Robert went to be with his Lord and Saviour, with his loving family at his side. Treasured husband to Sharon (nee Heatherington), beloved father to Shawn Locking (Natasha), Shane Locking (Jackie). Cherished grandfather to Bryton Locking (Amanda), Makayla Fournier (Jason), Katrina Locking (Jersey). Robert had the honor of being a great grandfather to Tristan, Avayah, Greysen and Jessimea. Predeceased by his parents Leo and Edna (nee Guay). Dear brother of Marie (Gerry) both predeceased, Patsy predeceased (Ross), Jeannie predeceased, Micheal (Beverly), Rita (Guy), Joanne (Jason). Dear brother-in-law to William (Andrea), Brian predeceased (Louise), Brenda (Bruce), Barbara (Jim), Sheila (Dave), Annette (Tim) He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews and all who knew him.

Robert was the cornerstone of his family, a devoted husband who shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and unwavering commitment. As a father to two wonderful sons, a father- in-law, and a proud grandfather of three, he was a guiding presence in their lives offering wisdom, kindness, and a steady hand through life’s journeys. His joy only grew as he became a doting great-grandfather to four, embracing each new generation with warmth and endless love. Beyond his family, Robert was known for his generosity, his strong spirit, his ability to bring people together, and his wonderful sense of humour. His love of music was evident every time he sang and played his guitar. Whether through stories shared around the dinner table or quiet moments filled with laughter, his legacy of love will continue to live on in the hearts of those he cherished. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His memory will remain a beacon of love and strength for all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Saturday May 31, 2025, from 1-4 at the Valley East Lions Club 4611 St Joseph Street, Hanmer ON, P3P 1K5
