Robert Michel St-Pierre
April 9th, 1940 – March 2nd, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Michel St-Pierre, who was born on April 9th, 1940, and passed away peacefully on March 2nd, 2026, in Sudbury, Ontario at the age of 85 years.
Bob was the son of the late Michel Joseph St-Pierre and the late Veronica St-Pierre (Née Klein). He shared 63 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Mirella St-Pierre (née Pilon).
He was a loving father to Claude (Julie) St-Pierre who predeceased him, Diane St-Pierre, Linda (Richard) Gagné and Sylvie (Dean) Griffin. Bob was a proud and cherished Pépère to Brian, Melanie, Michel, Chantal, Marc, Stephanie, Kayla and Melissa, and was blessed with nine great grandchildren who he adored.
He was predeceased by his siblings George, Ryal, Joseph, Henry, Conrad, Victoria and his stepsisters Roma and Lorraine.
Born and raised in Noëlville, Ontario, Bob was, at heart, a true outdoorsman. Wolseley Bay was where he loved to be, whether casting a line at dawn, heading out for a hunt, or hosting one of his delicious fish frys. Some of our most cherished memories are with him sitting on the porch at the cabin, often with his favorite glass of rye in hand, enjoying the views of the river he loved so much. Whether the river was calm and quiet or the cabin buzzing with family and friends, Bob was exactly where he wanted to be.
Above all else, Bob treasured his family. His home, and his cabin were places filled with laughter, music and storytelling. He carried immense pride in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and nothing brought him greater happiness than having them gathered around him. His presence was grounding, his love unwavering, and his memory will live on in every cast line, every glass of rye, every fish fry, and every quiet moment by the river.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Mass and Celebration of Life will be held in Noëlville in the summer of 2026. Details will be shared with family and friends at a later date.
