Robillard, Rolland 1929 – 2021
Rolly was reunited with his beautiful wife Delina, on Saturday, October 2, 2021. He was 92 years old and lived a full life. Son of the late Wilfrid and of the late Emilia (née Vézina) Robillard. Predeceased by his loving wife Delina (née Paquette), October 12, 2018. Dear father of Marc (Francine) and Shirley Robillard. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandson, Eric (Kaitlyn). Predeceased by his granddaughter Daniele. Also predeceased by his brothers and sisters.
Rolly started his career in Sudbury at the age of 15 working for Queens Taxi. With his early driving experience, he was hired as a transport driver for CP Express and Transport and retired as a supervisor after 40 years. Well known in Val Caron as a skilled handyman and a place where neighbours/friends and family could gather for drinks, food and music. If you stopped at Rolly’s home, he dropped whatever project he was working on and partied with you. He loved telling jokes, was always positive and ready to help others.
Cremation services entrusted to Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers family has requested that donations be made to the Elgin Street Mission or the Sudbury Food Bank in Memory of Rolly.
