Rory Johnson

JOHNSON, Rory (November 21, 1984 – August 17, 2024)

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Rory Johnson announces his passing in Chapleau at the age of 39 years. Cherished son of Linda Mannek (Mario Boissonneau) and Reed Johnson (Elaine). Loving and devoted father to Alyssa, Luciena and Royce. Beloved brother to Reed, Randy, Thomas, Janessa and Caleb. Stepbrother to Alex and Crystal. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Rory was born, went to school and grew up in Woodstock Ontario. He worked at many different jobs over the years and also lived and worked in BC and Alberta before moving back to Ontario. He had a unique sense of humour and one of the jobs he had and enjoyed was making balloon animals with his mom at various special events. However, the highlight of Rory’s life was his children, whom he loved dearly and would do anything he could for them and treasured the time spent with them including at the many family dinners, visits and other special occasions.. Among many things he enjoyed cooking for himself and his family, eating out occasionally, campfires, nature outings, going to the beach, carnivals, having various discussions on the phone, playing board games and also games on the computer (sometimes with his kids or his brothers), movies, and he also enjoyed his 2 pets; a cat named Loki and a guinea pig named Dukino who have been lovingly cared for by Rory’s mother after his passing.

A Celebration of Life for Rory was held on September 22, 2024, at the Embro Community Centre. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by many family and friends.
