Sarah Nixon

It is with overwhelming grief that we announce the passing of Sarah Nixon on Friday, November 29th, 2024. Beloved wife and Soulmate to her Husband, Bradley Ednie. She was a loving and caring daughter to Rose and Brent Nixon. A sweet big sister to Jordan Nixon and wife (Sara). Predeceased by her Grandparents Jozef and Anna Lebiedz as well as Lillian and Ed Nixon. Niece and Goddaughter to Adele (London) and Mario (predeceased). Loving daughter-in-law to Diane and Hal Ednie. Sister-in- law to Tracy and husband (Ryan). Special Aunt to Emmett and Danielle. She will be sadly missed by many aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

Sarah graduated from Laurentian University where she obtained her Honours Degree in Concurrent Education. She completed her Masters Degree in Education from Nipissing University. She was a highly respected Educator at Northeastern Elementary School who taught an Intensive Support Program and was an outspoken and passionate advocate for her students. Sarah had a very special relationship with her Grandparents. They meant the world to her and the feeling was mutual. She had a very competitive spirit mastering her favourite board games at the summerhouse on the French River. Winning was paramount to her, even if it meant bending the rules. Despite her best efforts, she could not steal the championship from her parents at yard games. Sharing her love of sitcoms, reading, music and road trips with Bradley were a great source of pleasure for her. These only came second to her passion for shopping and soap operas. We will all miss her wit and sarcasm, but mostly her sense of humour.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to family and friends for the outpouring of love and support and the comforting contributions of food and flowers during this very difficult time. Respecting Sarah’s style, a private celebration of life will be held at a future date.

Sarah, we will love and miss you for all the Days of Our Lives (her favorite soap). You will always be our forever sunshine.
