Born on June 2, 1931, Sherman lived a long and meaningful life grounded in love, hard work, and a deep devotion to family. He is survived by Frances, his beloved wife of 68 years, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sherman and Frances built a life rich in memories, laughter, and unwavering partnership. He will be deeply missed by his children and their spouses: Sandra & Donald; Randy; Michael & Lisa and Denis & Andrea. Sherman was “Papa” to his grandchildren and their partners, André & Mayra; Renée & Kyle; and Hannah, as well as his great-grandchildren, Beckett, Evelyne, and Rylen, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy. Sherman dedicated 33 years of his life to a career as a miner for Inco, beginning underground as a driller before retiring as a foreman at Garson mine. His free time was dedicated to his passion for gardening or donating his time and seemingly limitless handyman skills to family, friends and neighbors.
