It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Steve Detelic, who went to rest Saturday May 17th at the age of 68. He was an involved caretaker to his mother Mary Detelic through her entire stay at long term care, being an active visitor daily. He had a well reported on reputation for his remarkable dedication to her care. Steve had a wry sense of humour which he shared generously!
Steve will be remembered for his love of the Ministry – serving as a full-time minister for many years. He will be missed by many in the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and by his Newfoundland friends. Deepest thanks to the Hospice staff and members of the congregation involved in his care.
A Memorial Talk will be held at the Hanmer Kingdom Hall on Saturday May 31st at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, Steve requested that donations be made to The Worldwide Work of Jehovah Witnesses at JW.ORG
May we all look forward to the time we will see Steve again here on earth in perfect health – just as he firmly believed. (Acts 24:15)
Cremation arrangements in care of Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury and Crystal Crematorium, Sturgeon Falls.
