Steven Dougherty

June 13, 1982 – January 23, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Steven Douglas Dougherty announces his passing at his home in Coniston on Saturday, January 23rd 2021 at the age of 38. Steven was born June 13th, 1982 and raised in Garson. After completing high school, Steven worked various jobs before starting work with his current employer Castec. His biggest and proudest achievement was his son Hunter, his little mini man. He would do anything for his son and loved spending his free time with him which included fishing, quadding, and putting together Lego sets. Steven loved life and was the life of the party which often included his musical version of whatever song was playing. He was most at peace when out on the water, fishing for the big one. He had one of the biggest hearts and loved to make people laugh.  He will be greatly missed by his son Hunter, his parents, Douglas and Ellen (Koski), his siblings, Christopher, Anne Prieur (Brooks), David (Terry Lynn), his furbaby Chase and his close companion Laura Parks. He was the beloved grandson of Lois Dougherty and the nephew of Sherri (Jon) Peroff, Shirley (Raymond) Kennedy and Sheldon Dougherty (Rona-Lee). Lovingly remembered by his nephews and nieces Meaghan, Evan, Brady (David), Olivia, Brooklyn, Devon (Josee) and Shannon.  He will be missed by many cousins and friends. Our hearts are heavy with grief and we will cherish the memories that he has left us with. There will be no funeral at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date when restrictions have been lifted. Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury.
