TERRENCE (TERRY) RICHARD PENNY, 75, passed peacefully overnight in his home on March 27th, 2025. A lifetime resident of Sudbury, Terry dedicated 30 years to Canada Post, before spending many years of his retirement as a school bus driver.
Born April 7th, 1949, Terry was the fifth of six children born to Fred and Neta (Robinson) Penny. He grew up in the house built by his father on Beverly Drive, spending an active childhood playing in the nearby creek and getting into mischief with his siblings.
As an adult, Terry was a complicated man, but although he struggled, he worked hard to better himself until the end. He always enjoyed a phone call with his siblings, welcomed visits from friends and family, and was open to new friendships and experiences.
Terry is predeceased by his parents; two sisters Diana (Claude Henri) and Lynda (Joe Quinto); and his son Michael (Dorothy Vallillee). He is survived by his siblings Fred (Sandra Vanderstelt), John (Kathy Hill), and Wendy (Wilbert Rollins); his son Chris (Rebecca); and several grandchildren.
He will be missed by many.
A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury and Crystal Crematorium.
