DUFF, Thomas John 

April 12, 1944 -April 3, 2024

It is with heavy hearts, we share the unexpected passing of Thomas John Duff, Wednesday April 3, 2024, at his home, at the age of 79. 

Son of the late Thomas Duff and Evelyn Duff (Mossey).  A loving and dedicated husband to Heather Duff (Sime) Dear father of Kevin (Erin) Marc (Sonya) and Corrie ( Bryan Funk) Tom will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Justin, Alyssa, Chad, Connor, Tyler, Reeghan and Kade.  Cherished great-grandfather of Maddox, Sophia, and Isaac.  Beloved Brother of Sister Marilyn Duff, Monty (Bonnie), Beverly (Ken Calford), Gail (Ken Santche) and Brenda (Ray Melcher pre deceased).  Brother in law Marty Sime predeceased (Helen), Bonnie Duff (Monty), Jim Sime and Robert Sime (Cindy).  Loving and proud uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Tom wore many hats over the years.  He was a son, a brother, a husband, a father, an uncle, a papa, great papa and a great person and friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.  Tom enjoyed hunting, singing, down hill skiing, scuba diving, curling, golfing, gardening to name a few.  Tom worked for the Gas Company for 37 1/2 years.  But most of all Tom was a kind and gentle person always willing to help in any way he could.  A people person who loved and treasured  the times he spent with family, friends and good people he met along his way.  Tom will always be remembered for his beautiful sense of humour.  He had a gift for making others laugh and always knew how to lighten the mood with his wit, charm, kindness and some of his famous one liners.

Tom’s legacy of love, kindness, humour, family and friendship will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

A celebration of life will take place at the Panache Community Centre on Saturday April 13, 2024, from 1pm to 5pm.
