FARQUHAR, Thomas Ian (1953 - 2024)
Tom was born to Thomas Sr. and Marion Farquhar on March 22nd, 1953. Tom was a man of compassion and wisdom, dedicating his life to building and strengthening communities and serving others.
Tom and Lise were happily married for 35 years, living on and off the Island. They eventually rejoined the community of Mindemoya in 2020. Tom spent his last few years puttering around the kitchen, taking every opportunity to cook for and feed anyone who stopped by to say hello. He also spent countless hours connecting with friends and family and doting on pictures of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren through Facebook.
Tom will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Lise Farquhar (née Lapointe); his children, Shauna (Vern), Adrienne (Kevin), Nikki (Todd), Carl (Lee Anne), and Kelly (Jason); and was Poppa to many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his stepmom Linda Farquhar and siblings: Linda (Jim, deceased), Bill (deceased), Victoria (Herb), Shirley, James (Shannon), and Ruth.
Tom's dedication to community is a lasting testament to his life. Donations to Community Living Manitoulin would be appreciated.
