Gibson, Valerie (née Piché) 1951-2022
It is with profound sadness that the family announces her passing in Sudbury on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the age of 70 years. Dear daughter of the late Jean Paul and the late Olga (née Kary) Piché. Beloved wife of 51 years to John (Jack) Gibson. Loving, beautiful mother of Daphne (Pat Rochon), Rhonda and Brandt. Dear sister of the late Johnny (Giselle), Bernie (Fern), Kenny, Lenny, the late Lana, Ginny (Gerry, predeceased), Mel (Elden), Roxy and the late Sandra. Proud Nana to her special girl, “nana’s baby” Aria Rochon. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends.
Val cherished her time at camp on Stratton Lake with her family and friends. She loved shopping, scratching tickets, and watching her favorite crime scene investigation shows. Her and Jack enjoyed their time playing shuffleboard in her healthier years. She took great pleasure in baking and berry picking, which at times became an obsession for her! She will be remembered for her kindness and beautiful smile that could light up any room. But mostly, she was a wonderful, loving mommy who always made her kids feel so special. You were our hero ma, and we will miss you forever and always! XO
