Wayne Cotie
July 14th, 1946 – July 4th, 2026
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Cotie on July 4th, 2026, at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, just days before his 80th birthday.
Wayne was predeceased by his beloved wife, Darlene Cotie, whom he loved dearly. He is lovingly remembered by his brother Robert (Sharon) Cotie and his sister-in-law Loala Cotie; his nieces Krista Cotie and Marie-Paule Melis; his nephew Andrew Cotie; and extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Gary Cotie.
Wayne grew up in North Bay and spent many cherished years on the shores of Temiskaming River in Québec. He often shared stories of those days and enjoyed reminiscing about his time with the Upper Ottawa Improvement Company. He had a keen interest in current events and always appreciated a good conversation.
Wayne especially enjoyed Bingo and spending time with family. He will be deeply missed at family dinners, where his warm presence, engaging conversations, and love of deserts, especially cookies, brought smiles to those around him.
In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, there will be no Celebration of Life.
He will be remembered with love and greatly missed by all who knew him.
