Giroux, Yve Daniel (1967 – 2025)

With a heavy heart, we announce the sudden passing of Yve Daniel Giroux in Sudbury, Saturday August 30, 2025, at the age of 58 years. Loving son of Marie Pelland (née Gagnon) (Roland) and of the late Richard Giroux. Survived by his partner Gwen Abbott. Father of Kaitlyne (Brandon), Matthieu, and stepfather to Cameron (Brigitte) and Spencer (Brianne). He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his siblings, Judith Giroux, Sylvio Guenette (Vanessa), Guy Guenette (Sheila) and his stepbrother Nicholas. Also survived by several much-loved nieces, nephews and aunts and uncles. He will also be missed by his faithful dog, Mon Loup. 

Yve was a millwright by trade and worked at the Nickel Refinery for Vale at the time of his passing. Throughout his life working at various companies and occupations, he made many lifelong friends and was best known for his humor. He loved to make everyone laugh. Whether it was with one of his jokes or a prank, he guaranteed you were having fun. His garage was always open to help someone 'save a buck' or to share his knowledge or to work with you. If he had any spare time, he'd be throwing darts, swinging a golf club or working on another project.

Travel was also a great passion of his, having taken many trips to the Caribbean, where friends became family. His passing is a great loss to all who knew him, he was definitely one of a kind that will never be replaced. 

We all will miss you Yve​.
