Yvette (Savignac) Binette

It is with heavy hearts that the family announce her passing on August 16th, 2023 in Sturgeon Falls at the age of 78 years.  Daughter of the late Lionel and of the late Laurette (née Lafrenière) Savignac.  Wife of the late Raymond Binette.   Loving mother of Louise Mekers (Richard), Michel Binette (Sylvie) and Daniel Binette (Lynn).  Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Ashley, Kayla, Braedan, Brianne, Ryan as well as her great grandson Noah.  Survived by her sister Claire Desjardins and her brother Jean Savignac (Diane). 

Yvette and her husband Raymond were the former owners of Deluxe Camps in Lavigne as well as Binette Bus Line.  They were instrumental in the construction of the Lavigne Community Center.    The Binette family also took care of the Cemetery in Lavigne for many years.  Yvette was involved in her church Notre Dame de la Visitation in Lavigne, having served on many parish committees.

A special thank you to Dr Vaillancourt, Dr. Henstridge and the staff Au Château for the care they provided.

The family will receive friends and family at Notre Dame de la Visitation church in Lavigne on Saturday September 9th, 2023 after 10am.  Funeral mass to follow at 11am.
